Learn to use a sewing machine to create a handy apron for kitchen or barbecue OR a (more complicated) covered-dish carrier. Brightly colored dish-towels from Natural Habitat are the perfect size for either project. We’ll provide the towels and designs so you can make your own as a delightful gift to yourself or your loved ones. For the sewing-challenged, we’ll warm-up with a simple pot-holder. Experienced participants can mix-and-match a set of all three! 10:30 until 1:30, Saturday, November 14. $35/family. Share a pot-luck lunch and carry your empty dish home in your own-made carrier!
The Old-Style Life Skills Series (OSLSS) is a monthly series of workshops for the whole family devoted to rediscovering rural wisdom. Our mission in offering these classes and workshops is to foster self-sufficiency, neighborly interdependence, and sustainable agricultural practices.
Because the workshops are limited in size, registration, BEFORE each workshop, is required. Please scroll down to register on line OR contact Debra@motherhouse.us or 860-672-0229. [EVR_SINGLE event_id=”13″]
