Learn about life in the hive of our friend the honey bee: who’s who and what they do. Hear excerpts from a beekeeper’s journal. Buzz over the tools and equipment used in beekeeping, top bar hives, and apitherapy paraphernalia. Fire-up a bee-soothing smoker. Use an empty bee package to role-play the steps of installing the real thing. Hand-dip beeswax candles. Go home with your own copy of Debra’s hand-made book, Life in the Hive. Bring your favorite dish w/honey to share for a pot-luck lunch.
